In this tutorial, I’ll show you several techniques for enhancing a basic banner design for a product or service. These techniques can be employed to add a fresh splash to many of your designs!

Create a new document, mine is 500×647px. Grab your Gradient Tool and set it to Radial Gradient. I feel like making a green inspired ad, so I’m going to use #ceed12 as my foreground color and #186600 as my background color. Create a gradient near the
lower left corner of the document.

You can apply this stuf to almost anything though, let it be fruit, cars etc. I also saw some nice photos of models wearing clothes with a similar water effect. So this water effect is pretty popular and is a good thing to learn.

We’ve seen many photoshop tutorials showing how to create the chrome text effect. In this tutorial we will go a step further and create a colored chrome text effect.

First we need a bold rounded font. We can get a free one from urbanfonts.com. Let’s pick Adira Display. Then create a new file. Dimensions should be 500px x 500px. A dark gray background is just fine.

Create a document of size 750 by 550px.

Use Gradient tool with foreground color #2B2B2B and background #000000, start a linear gradient from the bottom-left.

Create a new layer on top of the Background. Set the foreground color to #000000 and background to #FFFFFF.

Go to Filter > Render > Clouds. Set the blending mode of this layer to Color Dodge.

Use Soft Eraser tool of size 300px, remove some parts of the clouds as shown in the diagram.

In the spirit of Halloween, I decided I would create a tutorial on how
to create text engulfed in flames. Sorry no pumpkins, maybe next time :).
This tutorial is a bit of a challenge, so if your a beginner, some practice will be required.

Create a new document, 600×360 pixels (72 DPI).

Set background layer to black (#000). Don’t pick black as we are going to adjust that part later with an adjustment layer. Write the world BIG in a new layer with font size of 190pt approx. Like the image below:

Make a new canvas, we used 600*480 px here, but the size is of course optional.

Select the Gradient Tool, using two shades of blue (see below), fill your canvas, so that the darker colour will be on top.

Take a photo of a girl. If needed, resize her so that she will fit in.

Make a new Layer. Make sure your primarily and secondary colours are black and white. Go to Filter >> Render >> Clouds

And, if needed apply the clouds effect a several times to achieve the desired randomly “clouded” effect.

This tutorial will teach you how to create creative and stylish fire lines in 10 easy steps.

For this tutorial your going to need a good stock photo lined up. Something with action…and preferably dark (this effect works much better in a dark setting)

Open the stock photo, then go to the paths tab and click create new path.
Press “P” on the keyboard to select the pen tool, Get a basic idea of where the fire is going. Keep in mind dimension and action. Swirls do wonders!

In this tutorial, we are going to make a cool looking sprite signature with an awesome blast effect

Start off by making a new document. goto your gradient tool and use a radial gradient. I used a dark and light aqua gradient.
Get out some nice c4d renders and set them to lighten, screen, and color dodge and place them on the sign.
On a new layer image > apply image > apply image. Then filter > blur >gaussian blur on about .5
Place your render/sprite and press CTRL+J to dupe it.

In this tutorial, I’m going to show how to create one smokin’ woman using a couple source pics..

So follow along and I’ll try to share a few secrets into some of the magic, without the smoke and mirrors.

With the general idea already in my mind, I needed to find a suitable background image.

The image I found turned out perfect because of the line of direction of the main figure’s vision. He’s looking directly where we’re going to place our smoke, creating unity among our elements. How convenient!

In this tutorial I will show you how to create magical underwater scene. I have used the source image of Victoria Tulips contest to create this effect and the rest is done using filters, blending options, masking and some basic photoshop tools.

Make a new layer. Set the foreground color to #002156 and background color to black. Now choose gradient tool and apply the first gradient vertically on the new layer.
